Notes: This is a single chapter short story. Its sole purpose was to practice doing touchy-feely stuff since I have had absolutely no experience in writing about this type of stuff.

Sakura woke up suddenly as Touya tipped her out of her bed and onto the floor.

"Wake up." He said smiling to himself as he watched he stuggle with the bed sheets that had inexorably wrapped themselves around her flailing limbs as she struggled to her feet with a look of rage upon her face. "Uh-oh, the little monster is about to go on a rampage!" Touya said with mock fear.

"I am not a monster!" Sakura replied chasing him from her room.

"What's with all the noise?" Kero asked, poking his head out from her drawer and rubbing his eyes sleepily. "Is it time for breakfast?" Sakura glanced at the clock.

"Ahh! I'm late!" Sakura cried and stumbled into her clothes. She was supposed to meet with Syaoran before school. He had said that he had something to tell her, and that it was important. She was excited, to say the least. At first she had been nervous about encountering him after he had expressed his feelings to her, but once she had told him that she felt the same way, every opportunity so see him excited her. The fact that he had important news only heightened the excitement.

Sakura raced downstairs and bowed to the picture of her mother on the mantle. "Morning mom. Hi Dad." She grabbed the toast her father had set on the table for her, pulled on her skates, and raced off towards Penguin Park.

Li was there waiting for her. He was dressed in his battle suit and looking depressed as he leaned against the penguin slide. He smiled gently as he saw her approach.

"Sakura!" He called, standing up straight to meet the girl as she leapt onto him and wrapped her arms around his neck without stopping. "Sakura-chan..." he held her close then let her drift back. His eyes looked down, his look of excitement replaced with one of nervousness.

"What's wrong?" Sakura asked, realizing the news he had for her was not something good. She stared deep into his eyes. After a moment, he shut his eyes and turned away.

"I thought..." Li started, and then paused. "I thought that telling you my feelings would be hard. It was."

"Syaoran-chan?"

"I didn't think that anything would be harder than that Sakura..."

"What are you trying to say Li?" Sakura asked, drawing herself closer to him. "Please tell me."

Syaoran looked her in the eyes, his breathing growing shallower. "I... I have to leave."

"Why? Why can't you stay with me?" Sakura drew him against her, holding him, wishing that she never had to let go.

"My mother sent for me. There is something I must do, and to do it I must go far away. I will not see you again for a very long time." Syaoran took her in his arms once again and held her.

"Please stay." Sakura begged, as a tear rolled down her cheek and dripped onto Syaoran's chest. "You are the one I care the most about."

"I am sorry Sakura-chan..." Li pulled himself from her grasp and ran out of the park.

"Syaoran... Please..." Sakura whispered, "Remember, my heart will go with you always."

Syaoran arrived at the airport and boarded his plane. A tear rolled down his cheek as he stared out in the direction of Penguin Park where he knew Sakura was still standing, hoping that he would return.

"I promise..." he said quietly as a tear of his own rolled down his cheek. "I will always care for you. I will return for you when my task is done. You will always be in my heart." He touched his heart and his tear fell. A glow enveloped his hand. When the glow faded, it left in its wake a new Sakura Card labelled Heart. Syaoran Li smiled. Her heart would truly be with him always.
